About Aiper

Aiper sells more cordless robots than any other brand in our keyword research, and its range has grown fast. That speed has a downside: the same name can hide different versions (the Scuba S1 has 2024, 2025 and 2026 versions with different runtimes and filters), and Aiper's own pages sometimes disagree with themselves. We note those conflicts on each product.

The current range

Model Cleans Best for
Scuba SE Floor only Small above-ground pools
Scuba S1 Floor and walls Simple in-ground pools up to 1,600 sq ft
Scuba X1 Floor, walls, waterline In-ground pools up to 2,150 sq ft
Scuba X1 Pro Max Surface, floor, walls, waterline Large pools up to 3,230 sq ft

Aiper also sells camera-guided models (Scuba V3 and V3 Ultra) and the Scuba S3. We will add them once Aiper publishes runtime and pool-size figures.

What owners report

Getting stuck on steps, drains and steep transitions is the most common complaint about the Scuba S1, which has no obstacle sensors. The X1 series adds ultrasonic sensors to address that.

Support

Aiper's support site has model-specific guides for charging, error codes and resets. Our Aiper troubleshooting guides explain the fixes in plain steps.

Aiper Red Light: What It Means and How to Fix It

A red light on an Aiper can mean normal charging, a jammed pump or a battery warning. Here's how to tell which, based on Aiper's own support guides, and what to do about each.

Aiper questions

Which Aiper Scuba should I buy?

For a small above-ground pool with a flat floor, the Scuba SE is enough. For a simple in-ground pool, the Scuba S1 cleans floor and walls. For waterline cleaning and obstacle sensors, step up to the Scuba X1; the X1 Pro Max adds surface skimming and wireless charging.

Why does my Aiper show a red light?

On the charger, a red light simply means it is charging and turns green when full. A red light on the robot while it runs usually means a motor fault, most often a jammed impeller. See our guide to Aiper's red light for every case.

Do Aiper robots work in above-ground pools?

Only some. Aiper lists the Scuba S1, X1 and X1 Pro Max for in-ground pools. The Scuba SE is made for above-ground and flat-floored pools.
