Aiper

Aiper Scuba X1

8.0/10 research score

6,600 GPH, front and rear rollers, ultrasonic sensors, 5 L basket.

Aiper

Aiper Scuba V3

7.5/10 research score

AI camera targets visible dirt; wireless charging dock.

The short answer

Pick the Scuba X1 for raw cleaning: 6,600 GPH suction, a 5 L basket and a 2,150 sq ft rating. Pick the Scuba V3 if you value smart targeting and a wireless charging dock, and your pool doesn't need the extra suction.

Both are Aiper cordless robots for in-ground pools that clean floor, walls and waterline. The V3 bets on intelligence: a front camera and time-of-flight sensors that spot debris. The X1 bets on muscle: more suction, two active rollers and a bigger basket. Specs below are Aiper's, with one independent review for the V3 (how we research).

Suction and filtration

The X1 moves 6,600 GPH with front and rear active rollers; the V3 moves 4,800 GPH with two brushes. Both filter down to 3 µm. The X1's 5 L top-load basket holds more between cleanings.

The V3's AI camera finds visible dirt and patrols toward it, with time-of-flight sensors for obstacles; Aiper says images are processed on the robot. The X1 uses ultrasonic obstacle avoidance with 14 sensors and a planned path. An independent V3 review found small gaps on strongly curved walls.

Runtime and charging

Both are rated around 180 minutes. The V3 charges on a wireless dock in about 5 hours; the X1 uses a contact dock and charges in 4 hours.

Living with them

The V3 surfaces and alerts the app when it finishes; one reviewer notes you need to retrieve it within about 10 minutes or it sinks once the battery runs down. The X1 has smart retrieval and quick water release.

Price

On October 16, 2026, Aiper's store listed the V3 at $1,099.99 (on sale for $899.99). It did not show the X1's price that day.

Aiper

Aiper Scuba X1

7.5/10 research score Cordless

Best for: In-ground pools where dirt collects in the same spots

Verdict

For most pools, the X1's extra suction and capacity matter more than the V3's camera. Choose the V3 if dirt gathers in predictable spots and you want dock charging with no contacts to dry.

Frequently asked questions

Is the Aiper Scuba V3 better than the X1?

Not overall. The V3 is smarter (AI camera, wireless dock), but the X1 has more suction (6,600 vs 4,800 GPH), a 5 L basket and a published 2,150 sq ft rating.

How long does the Scuba V3 run?

Aiper says about 180 minutes per charge, with a 5-hour recharge on its wireless dock.

Does the V3 camera store pictures of my pool?

Aiper says images are processed on the robot and not uploaded, certified by TÜV, according to its product page and an independent review.
