Beatbot
Beatbot Sora 70
List price $1,499 (as of Oct 2026)
Best for: Pools that collect floating leaves and pollen
Our verdict
The Sora 70 is the most complete cordless robot we cover below its $1,499 list price: it skims, scrubs walls and the waterline, and runs up to 5 hours on the floor, with a 3-year warranty. Choose it if leaves and pollen land in your pool. If you don't need skimming, the Sora 30 does the underwater work for less.
The Beatbot Sora 70 is the top model in Beatbot's Sora line and one of the few cordless robots under $1,500 (list) that also skims the water surface. We have not tested it ourselves. This review is built from Beatbot's specifications and three independent hands-on reviews (sources below); our method explains how scores are set.

- Filtration: 6 L dual basket, 150 µm standard, 3 µm basket available separately
- Suction: 6,800 gallons per hour

What independent testers found
Reviewers at Reviewed, 9to5Toys and Techaeris agree that it cleans floors and walls thoroughly. They also agree on its weak points:
- Slow and methodical. Its S-shaped pattern is thorough but unhurried, so very large pools take a while.
- App drops underwater. The app reconnects when the robot surfaces; it cannot be steered while submerged.
- Heavy to lift. At about 23 lb, lifting it out of an above-ground pool can be hard for some people.
- Skimming jets. The corner jets herd floating leaves well but can push light, sinking debris away.
Who it suits
The Sora 70 makes most sense if leaves, pollen or insects land on your water, because skimming catches them before they sink and stain. For pools that collect mostly fine dirt and sand, the Sora 30 does the same underwater cleaning for less money.
Alternatives

Beatbot Sora 30
List price $999 (as of Oct 2026)
Best for: Large pools with walls that need real scrubbing
Aiper
Aiper Scuba X1 Pro Max
Best for: Large in-ground pools where you want the least hands-on work
Bottom line
Few robots combine skimming, wall and waterline scrubbing, up to 5 hours of floor runtime and a 3-year warranty at this price. Accept the weight and the plug-in charging, and it is one of the strongest all-round choices on paper.
