Dolphin Nautilus CC Plus

7.5/10 research score Corded

Best for: In-ground pools where reliability matters more than smart features

Our verdict

The Nautilus CC Plus is a dependable, simple corded robot: plug in, drop in, and it finishes in two hours every time. It doesn't scrub the waterline, the standard version has no app, and you'll handle a 60 ft cable. Buy it if you value reliability over features.

The Dolphin Nautilus CC Plus has been one of Maytronics' best-selling robots for years. It's a corded robot: a power supply beside the pool feeds it low-voltage power through a floating swivel cable. We have not tested it; this review uses Maytronics' published specs, a US distributor listing and owner reports (our method).

Key specs

  • Cleans: floor and walls of in-ground pools up to about 40 ft (12 m) long
  • Cycle: 2 hours by default; no battery, so it can run again straight away
  • Cable: 60 ft with a swivel on the US version (15 m internationally)
  • Filter: top-access fine filter kit
  • Extras: weekly timer; no app on the standard version
  • Weight: 20.8 lb (9.45 kg); warranty: 2 years

Why people still buy corded

A corded robot never stops halfway for a flat battery, and there's no battery to lose capacity after a few seasons. The trade-off is handling a cable: you unroll it each time, and it can still twist over time despite the swivel. Our cordless vs corded guide goes into detail.

What owners report

Owners on Trouble Free Pool describe Dolphins lasting around five years, with some failing earlier and others running longer. A Dolphin retailer's FAQ gives 5 to 7 years with proper care. Common wear items are the cable, brushes and tracks, which are sold separately.

What it doesn't do

  • Waterline scrubbing is listed as "no" by Maytronics.
  • No app on the standard version (the Wi-Fi version adds one).
  • In-ground pools only.
